At $ 80-00 you have a good buy the tree is worth that, the pot is only $10-00 part of the deal.

Yes, with the men, my Bonsai tree becomes a Penjing. Remove them, and it's just a Bonsai tree.
Regarding the pot, I think it's a nice pot, and while note hugely expensive as it came from Japan the postage alone to Tasmania would be more than $10... so your valuation may be geography-specific

just a bit of food for thought on the pot...
is a pot worth the price you pay for it or how well it matches with your tree..??? a pot tree combo makes the whole compositition one does it not???

Hey Japh, have you read the maple bonsai book by Peter Adams? That book would be a good read for you.

It would not have been posted to Tasmania from Japan. It was a bulk order I was selling them 20 years ago fo 8-50- in Asquiths Bonsai
As you say if your happy. My heart is never anywhere else when it comes to teaching the art of, Bonsai. Pup
