Great work John,

I remember seeing a few or at least one of your Ficus plants with equally impresive Negari.
Very inspirational works.

I was wondering with your Elms if you had noticed any fusing of the roots - similar to Ficus and Tridents where the surface roots or Nebari meld together to produce a plate like effect.
I'm just wondering as i have a project with one of my Chinese Elms where i'd love to produce that plate like nebari.

Hi Boics I kind of went for a wide open look when I first started. However always starting a few more projects so will keep this point in mind.
Hi Ryceman3, Mbunro the tree you refer to always gives me a feeling unsteadiness. Sometimes I think it has to much movement, if that is possible.
Hi Kevin, I have not seen any fussing of roots on my trees, actually went out with a torch just to check Maybe it takes a long, long, long time. I have tried to get the plate effect with several Crab Apples, had a little bit of success. Good luck with your project.

Hi Thymetraveller, they are great little starters. With time they will be awesome Trees. One thing I would do , would be to put some wire on those branches on the tree on the left. Go hard while they are young and supple. That's if you intend to keep them.....Cheers John.

These are amazing! This is the first I have seen of this thread of very unique trees!

They are dead-set spooky; quite an evocative and mysterious family of trees. My favourites include e5,6,7,8,9 and 17 looks like a bl@@dy octopus sucking the life out of a rock!

They all look 10% scarier when they are wet too.

Well done John ... your imagination has paid off in spades and they must be some sight when displayed together. Well done!
