I have a few pics of the pre bonsai in the last picImageImageImageImage I am still working on getting more branches going this spring. I ve had my eye on another tree since last year. I topped it last September. And yesterday I collected it.ImageImage I have to fix the wounds and cut the apex 5 inches and it'll sit at 12 inches.

I went back to collect a few of the trees I tagged last year. I split the trunk of the first pre bonsai to create a twin trunk and it is has covered up half of the wound already. They heal pretty fast when in the ground. split the second one at its base to create taper. It had weird feild goal post roots. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage . Practice makes perfect and I'm practicing .

Hi Spongeman. I see you like acacias . Here is one i've been growing since about 2000? It's about 15cm across the base and stands 40cm high. It was a slim sapling when i started and it's been container grown eversince . It's one of the few trees that actually fatten up in a bonsai pot. ( acacia galpinnii / white monkey thorn). The pic does'nt do it justice.
