na just kidding, keep it moist and it'll be sweet, i agree with ant though...

if you want lots of growth you'll need a bigger pot.

from my own experience figs airlayer well. it's a shame the root system isn't that great but you will learn that there is a so much to learn about the art of bonsai and over time weak points of trees can be improved with the right techniques.

layering is not necessary they grow as a cutting at the drop of a coin. ;)

Cool, The weather here has been hot with dry wind and the soil has been drying out even with the tree solid in the shade all day I put some small pebbles around the base about a 5mm thick layer to help keep some of the moisture in.
