This are some pictures I got from taisho en. Most of the mames there are made from airlayers.

Thanks for sharing
I wanted you to get some ideas for your pine if you dont want to grow it. If you should decide, remember you need to start ramification early.

I wanted to help Dansai with his pine.
Silly me I thought they will have the same URLs. I shall do it again shortly and correct all the entries. I was rushing so much.
They are spread in so many different folders I am not sure how to find them all again.
I think that we need to have a BN account for them to show for us :)

Most are working though :) and they look great!
Yes I hosted them now all locally. Hope to entice some of you to make mame.

and some more for inspiration
All working fine now :) again, thankyou!

Makes me want to go and get myself a pine! I've not touched one yet, not because I don't like them, just because I don't want to overwhelm myself with different species :P

I will try a mame one day, I've got the pots for it, just now need the skill to keep them alive :P haha

I am in the same sort of boat here, I want one but haven't found the right one as of yet, I can see my self getting one this year or the next.

Remember you can buy just a sapling, and make the fused trunk one. That one is lots of fun and it does not take so long.

Mames are not too hard to make...more harder to keep. If you root a big cutting you can have a mame in no time. Cute little one. I need to post my mame here.
