Roast duck if I have anything to do with it. You'll be quizzed on the nerve supply to the duck equivalent of sartorius.

Maybe we'll install you as a volunteer full time at the NBPCA for a week so some of the locals can have a break!

Sounds like medical education is the same there as here.

Do you suppose the duck sartorius inserts at the pes anserinus like in humans? That gets confusing.

I would love to spend a week working at the NBPCA. I'm sure I would learn a ton, and feed my growing addiction for Aus native bonsai. :palm: Just what I need.

I have seen these howittii and they are cheap also. :crikey: I have a couple in my collection they are a species native to Gippsland in Victoria and born to be bonsai.

I know I'm super interested, but I have it in my head that these won't grow well where I live. I live on the east coast of nsw half way between Sydney and Brisbane just south of Coffs Harbour and we have only had a few nights below 10 degrees and can have wet, humid summers. Do you think they will survive up here?

Hi Dansai
You might be able to grow them there it's not so much the temp as it is the combination of humidity and temp.
It gets pretty hot in nth East Victoria where they grow but it's not humid .i have one left ( out of three )and it is growing well here in brissie but I am not at sea level and have a bit of elevation where I am.January seems to be the month where they roll over .

what' s the lifespan for this variety?

Our temps aren't too bad but our humidity last summer was between 85% and 99% relative humidity with temps only in the low to mid 30's for about 3 weeks. Even when it wasn't that high I think it rarely went below 75%. Our highest temps this year only got to about 36. This was when WA, SA and Vic were getting days of 40+. The year before we had a few days in the 40's with humidity to boot. My wedding was on a 44 deg day. Needless to say we has a big water fight. :D

Might be easier for me to try some young plants and hopefully acclimatise them. It's a shame, the stock looks awesome Bodhi.

Hi Dansai,
i have seen them thrive in Newcastle. These guys were in the ground on Black Saturday and that was 47 with 90 k winds.

A good question Guy and one i cannot answer. Pot life would be longer than ground life if looked after well.
