Selling Bonsai

Offer the tree for sale at a price you are happy with, if it does sell it was bought. You did not sell it too high that is my way.

As for security it is always a problem, just do your best, and trust your neighbours and thier dogs.

I dont intend on selling very dear stock just pre bonsai stuff for the novice, ebay is an option but seems abit to hassling for me life is already hectic.
I have a great neighbour hood, very new, and i havent herd of muc theft around the place, not that im to worried due to my stock isnt worth alot.

Have you sort of selling collected stock (yamadori) not to offend any one one but most who do bonsai are middle aged or older ( no easy way to wright that) an would find it hard to collect some stock of good size also it wouldnt look as tempting to jump the fence for AN ITS FREE to collect

If i won the lotto i would become a full time yamadori collector

Pat you could always try posting for sale on gumtree, it's free to post so nothing lost if no buyers???

Gee thanks Olive I may be 59 but I can still dig a tree out and I am sure Alpine would challenge almost any one in the collection of Yamadori

Pat I know you say your not a fan of eBay, but to be honest there are not a great deal of trees actually for sale there. Most of the time ppl that do put their stuff on end up selling.
If you have a browse there are a few plants that have been on there for long periods, maybe the price is too high???
And if postage is a concern make it pickup only, if ppl are that keen to post it they will be willing to take the risk.

I have given ebay and gumtree a thought, and like you said i would specify pick up only(due to delivery being a pain in the ass) Is ebay free to post?

And as for yamadori, Olive i am yet to get into yamdori hunting lol. But that is something i do intend to get into. and maybe i will end up selling some.

Ebay has quite high costs on listing and you have to charge postage so this marks up the stock. You can sell on there but be prepared to have to sell at a higher cost with the fees. As for pickup it is risky. Good luck I see a couple of well known bonsai nurseries are selling on ebay too.
