A little belated - but a pic in a poly, its new home for a good while. and low and behold some bud burst - not much and pretty late, but a good sign none the less

Buds are always a positive sign but you need to remember that thicker trunks carry a good dal of stored energy and can produce buds and even quite advanced shoots without any roots. Only time will tell
