I'm glad someone put up some pictures. The display really was quite good, unfortunately I forgot my camera so I didn't take any pictures. Really nice japanese maple in the middle of the room, it looks like a trident but the sign says japanese (its the one with the big trunk).

I took some photos on my phone and will get them off tomorrow and place here. I was really dissapointed with the placement of some of the trees. There was a really great acer forest that took my eye (it was in one of the pics), however there was so much more trying to push me away from that display that i really had to fight to see the beauty that was there. They had this mirro placed behind it but in the room it was in, the mirror reflected a massive amount of light from the opposite window that i could not see the trees without squinting.... The surface composition and placement of rocks withing the soil and moss was really great for my mind.
Overall thanks for putting on a nice show with some very nice trees. The cascade contenestar was very nice indead also.

This is to be said about thinking outside the square. Being a traditionalist, when it comes to display. I must admit to liking this contemporary display a lot.
Well done John and Lee, whether it catches on we will have to wait and see.
I still like traditional display though. I just cant get around the accent, sitting on the stand, with the tree, and not on its own slab( Jitta).
Thank you for the pictures Hard1.
Cheers Pup

What an outstanding display. So so much effort, thought and creativity went into that one. Really nice to see. Thanks!

I must admit it is good to see Mr Wilson is still pushing the boundaries. Also must admit I was surprised to see John out on the same limb as Lee. Looked a great little show, typical Nepean.

Thankyou for posting - it is a very interesting show. I particularly like the display in image 5467, it is a comfortable balance between contemporary and traditional display.
Could I ask a couple of questions? What is the tree in image5451? Is it a Casuarina? of a pine with weepy needles? Also what is the tree in image 5516 and several others?
cheers
Ashley

Hi Ash,
The tree in 5451 is a long needle 5 needle pine, quite large as you can see by the size of the alcove and 5516 are old privets on a tray made from styraform on a weathertex base, it is about 1.2 metres long.
Cheers, Jonden
