Hi bodhi, nice tree.

just wondering how long would it take to heal that large chop in the middle of the trunk in this bonsai pot? and if that scar would ever heal at all?
would it speed up the process if this tree is to be left in the ground and let afew branches around the scar area to go rampage for quick recovery while starting ramification on the rest of the tree, a process that is similar to developing JBP.
sorry to ask the question, but I really want to hear from someone who has tons of experiences like yourself.
would definitely keep a close eyes on this tree for the next few years.

G'day Teamak,

I asked a lot this growing season from this tree. I applied the toothpick method to develop a completely new nebari. Some thread grafts (which didnt take) and I also did some major carving all over this trident to aid in better taper and in the healing of some pretty big chops. The tree has responded well, Im yet to see how the new root system is developing, this will be discovered when I do a repot next spring.
