Ausbonsai's very own "LLK" under the influence of (a PK) pot!
   Thanks, Leigh, that's the most flattering photo taken of me in a long while!
Er... Pat's influence wasn't lasting.

Just trying on my new hat for the Melbourne Cup, Bonsai Division, while manning the sales table at the show.
Pat's unique glazes suit my complexion.

By the way, the tree that Mick Balzary was working on is a Scots pine that I bought from Leigh for $120 just
before the show. It's a really beaut tree that will make a special bonsai. I'll post some more pics when I've had
the time to process them. At the show Leigh had quite a number of big raw stock trees for sale in approx the same
size category as my Scots pine, and I was thinking of all you guys who have trouble getting good material. We
were darn lucky. Still, it won't last forever, as Leigh is getting rid of most of his raw trees Those who don't live
too far away, you might do worse than having an outing to Canberra, taking in Leigh's bonsai centre.
One tree I'd have bought like a shot if I'd had $300 to spare was a magnificent Silver Edge Chinese elm, with a
huge trunk and a lot of practical branching. No kidding, it has to be unique in Oz.
