How to remove sap?

Post by Gerard »

I have a scotts pine, pinus sylvestrus with white sap stains on the trunk. The bark is delicate and I am not keen to try scraping the sap away.
Does anyone have any techniques or tips for sap removal?

regards Gerard

Try to wash it with hospital's alcohol products. These are 100% alcohol and will evaporate before running down to the soil. You could use a rag (dipped in the alcohol and clean the sap)
Always we hope someone else has the answer.
Bonsai is an art of shrinking.
