I wonder why yours put on so much trunk girth is such a short period of time
I have some in the ground for several years and they are only starting to gain vigor and strength again.
Love the twists and stubs. They can't be 2 year old trees?

Neli they are dayam fine specimens indeed!

Yes Darling they had instant fattening of trunks...on the plane , on their way from Japan to my home...he he he!
Jokes aside, they should be 10+ years old, grown in the ground...
But I have many in the ground and many twisted ones That I made myself...some in pots, after removing them from the ground...I wire crazy my junipers and was thought in Japan how to develop them from scratch...to the end...
I bought all my junipers as rough material...and the styled ones...like the first one...I did myself. Some I just prestyled...(first styling for branch development)

Perhaps Andrew had 1 year of experience when he joined in Dec 2010, and has simply not felt the need to update it. Perhaps he has also amassed this post count over the last 4 years!
And finally perhaps we shouldn't be judging people's experience level by how many years "they say" they have been practicing, and by the work they have displayed!
To me this is getting increasingly childish, I understand the defensiveness, but you have ruffled some feathers over a wide cross section of forum users, perhaps stop to ponder why, and maybe reign it in a little
