Hi everyone, firstly I would like to say what a great site this is! I've only had a quick browse but I was hoping for some advice.
I was recently given a Ficus Microcarpa Retusa as a gift & was wondering if anyone can give me some beginner tips or point me in the right direction.
So far I have removed it from the pot it came in as the soil was packed with an adhesive for transport & planted it in a 20cm pot from bunnings using osmocote bonsai mix.
I also purchased yates all purpose soluble fertaliser, because I had no idea what qualities I should be looking for in fertaliser.
i'm completely new to bonsai so any advise is welcome!
After searching a few sites I seem to have a basic idea of the watering/feeding frequencies but still feel pretty lost.
I'm not really sure what information is useful to you guys so let me know & we can take it from there.
Cheers!
