Eucalyptus yearly bark peel
I find this time of the year for Eucalypts is as good as Autumn and spring for the deciduous trees.

Awesome Peter
I love eucalypts, I only have a very small one at the moment but I'm deffinatley inspired to add more to my collection After seeing this beautiful tree
If you don't mind me asking, what time of year do you repot?
I pruned my eucy a couple of weeks ago and added some more dyanmic lifter and it has gone crazy, is now a good time to repot while the tree is actively growing?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Matt

Re: Eucalyptus yearly bark peel
Matt,
I generally re-pot Mid November thru to the end of January every 2 to 3 years. Because I live in a cold climate area I avoid re-potting after January as it does not give the tree enough time to recover.
As you live in Sydney I would say re-potting now is OK. The soil mix should be an open mix. I currently use Matins native mix with about 1/3rd Zeolite mixed in.

Thanks again Peter it is such a pleasure to see your trees here it shows that our natives are just as interesting as any other trees.
I have a Leptospermum brachyandrum that is shedding at the moment, very nice.
Cheers Pup
