Today I have been weeding and doing general maintenance got bored so. I thought to do some pruning and wiring ( forgot before).
I am pleased with the result now wait for the new growth.

Amazing work Pup
Was the hollow natural on collection or partly your doing? Also did you blow torch the inside of the hollow?

Hi Pearcy most of the hollow as already there, as I mentioned from a bush fire, when I noticed some weakening of the wood I burnt it again.Pearcy001 wrote:Amazing work Pup

I have since enhanced it again, but after a couple of seasons I use Earls wood hardener.

You are the master of the Mels
I asume it is quite large? I'm not familiar with these tree, does it have small leaves like claret top? It would be awesome to see in real life, inspirational.

It is one of the most common Melaleucas in WA. There are 2 in the national collection in Canberra both from WA one single tree and a group planting.
