I have grown this ficus benji for a few years now and it has survived neglect, hail, 43C heat not to mention being hit in the head too many times by my son's football Does it get extra points for singing 'I'm still standing! Yeh yeh yeh'?
It is a root over rock, about 45cm tall with the trunk 3" in diameter. I have just pruned it and removed a root which crossed over anoth. It really ticked me off every time I saw it but I didn't want to see the scar. Yesterday I couldn't handle it staring at me any more so I ripped it off. Hopefully it will heal quickly

Re: Benji Progression
Ficus sure are a forgiving plant aren't they! I look forwards to seeing how your Benji progresses.EdwardH wrote:I'm still standing! Yeh yeh yeh'?

Re: Benji Progression
I could well be wrong, but from the look of the foilage I think it might be a microcarpa rather than a benjamina.
