I was wondering if anyone could help me with a program that they are using to record their photos and tree data. I have recently tried to use ot2 which was a link on this forum but cant seem to connect my photos to it. Is there something I am doing wrong? It keeps telling me there is a read error. Has anyone had experience with this that can help me please? Or tell me what they use with windows xp.
cheers

Check out http://www.myfolia.com It is an online journal, record site that is used by most people to record and keep data of general garden plants and vegetable garden but it works great for bonsai as well. You can record and keep pictures of everything you do with your plants. It takes a little while to get used to how it all works but I have found it invaluable.

I've been using a program called Mybonsai4u for a couple of years now and have found it very good. It's not free (2 euro registration) but there is a 30 day trial.

There have been numerous updates over the years and he has even posted how to use the software in Windows 8 which shows his ongoing commitment to the software.

Yes I was the guy that posted the thread and I did load OT2 and it was working fine for a couple of days and it did the same thing to me, I got frustrated with it and removed it and then reloaded it and it has been working ever since so I don`t know whether it has got a problem or not, I have just downloaded the other one mentioned that you have to pay for and it seems a bit fiddly does not seem to come with a preloaded database like OT2. good luck

I wonder if anyone has used this little app yet? I downloaded the free lite version and it is not too bad. I like that I can directly take photos from the iPad within this software. I imagine it would be very quick to document your collection. I am considering paying for the full version but thought I would ask here first.

I use Evernote. Less structured and very flexible. Can be used on PC, Mac, or smartphone. All data is available wherever you have net access.
