Thanks Gavin, this species of wattle has feathery fern like leaves with the new growth coming in purple. ( my reason for choosing it) story of my life I'm always attracted to the complicated stuff lol. Oh well learn the hard stuff and the easier stuff will be a walk in the park.

Hi guys
I recently brought a zig zag wattle, because I saw a tree with these beautiful curves winding through this tree from the ground up. I think in some years it will be amazing
Cheers

Hi smith,
I also have a zig zag wattle they are a beautiful species mine is just a potted tree I'm not sure how they would go as bonsai. They do have rather large leaves and are a spiny species but I am just a newbie so I have lots to learn and will look forward to seeing what you do with this tree.

9 years and no updates…
Ok ok ok…
My neighbours have, what turns out to be a Queensland Silver Wattle (being Victorian, I’d not seen Wattles like this before) Last spring I collected a whole heap of seeds and after awhile worked out that I needed to scarify them.
I have two growing well (funny given how many I collected) and another two so so.
Interested if anyone has experience on this Acacia?
I may post a progression series of them later. Keen to see how they go.
