Loving what everyone has been able to achieve here, trying to pick a winner is going to be super tough

I hope not Keels but thanks for putting in your progression, I think there’s plenty more potential submissions though… keep them coming.
Really enjoying what has been posted so far, thanks to all those who made the effort!

Agree with that… hopefully there are a few more to make the decision even tougher! :P

Unfortunately my pot is still empty .

I had several attempts at airlayering the crabapple but the possums just wouldn’t leave it alone . It’s probably just as well as I think I was pushing my luck a bit trying to put this species in this pot .

Was bought as small ~1cm diameter ‘stick in a pot’ from the local native nursery, stuck into a very large pot to thicken up, and then left around the side of the house and pretty much ignored for 18 months (a couple of feeds, pruned when it got in the way and not much else). After all this, it’s now about 7cm diameter at the soil

What’s next? No idea ... to be honest I’d pretty much forgotten it was there. First up will be a major trunk chop about 30cm from the soil, likely at the small branch on the right just before it narrows and straightens. That small side branch will then become the new leader. After that, guess we’ll see how things evolve
Unfortunately, this tree died. I did the trunk chop as planned, and a week later it was gone :(

One day to go!!
Actually, I think it makes sense to make it 2… so the new close date for submissions is…

Sunday, 15th January, 2023

That gives the whole weekend to get pics organised etc, then I’ll endeavour to set up a voting thread or something next week.

Good Luck,

... and that's it.
I'll be setting up a polling thread in the not too distant future to get the voting underway with the submissions that came through.
Thanks to all those who played along.
