3 years ago I put some Amanita muscaria spores under by birch trees in the yard. I did that purely for their ornamental qualities. Since then they come up each autumn - see below
The original 2 other species continue to thrive as well. How long they will continue to be able to compete with the vigorous amenita remains to be seen.
For the moment all seem harmonious.

I wonder if anyone has tried to inoculate their pine bonsai with Amanita? They grow on a large range of trees including pines in Europe.
