Should hit my area late tonight and last till sunday. fall of 40-100mm possible in some areas. My portable weather station i have at home is going apes with pressure dropping fast. Hope anyone who wants some gets it. I would love some. my swimming hole is getting low

Re: rain for vic
mate you did better than me at 31mm but still unstable here. if we get a inch every couple of weeks this time of year im happy. might be enough moisture in the ground atm to slash some of these paddocks and reshoot.

Re: rain for vic
Matt and Alpine, we have had 1630mm so far this year which is 300mm above our 30 year annual average and we would by years end have to be some chance of reaching the 1800mm mark like last year. Enough already!! Can you grow Cannas as bonsai?
Cheers,
Mojo

Hi Mojo , don't tell those Sydney- ites i was hoping to grill them as to Sydney being wetter than Melbounre this year .We are 100mm under our annual rainfall this year but 300mm under last years recorded rainfall . Mate you wouldn't be watering much down your way that's for sure , mine is a daily ritual until now .

Re: rain for vic
Thats typically of how it goes Bodhi . I just fertilized all my entire stock , after 70mm 0f rain i cant see a pellet anywhere, just washed away or out of the pots . Them's the breaks , their still forecasting rain for the rest of the week and with temps heading up around the 30's its going to be good growing weather . Well might as well enjoy the day its the only one i've got at the moment .
Cheers Alpine

Re: rain for vic
Hey alpine,
I had 55mm of rain in the last 24 hours at northern Melbourne. its great to see the trees flourish after a heavy downpour. Have to always watch out for snails in this weather, they love ficus leaves.

Re: rain for vic
Hi Brian and Sid , i'm blessed up here i have mulched mixed euca' mixed blend and pine bark op dressing the gardens and snails don't like it . I have had at the most half a dozen snails here in 15 years .All the neibours have swamp weeds and the like so they live there .I have to ask for snails for my Blue tongue Lizard population now at 12-14 , can't afford to keep feeding a dozen eggs a day to my little troup . Main pest here is red spider mite and aphids and caterpillers that strip the citrus . Curl grubs love the euca' mulch so i have stopped laying it down .
