Re: [Watto] Rosemary
A little while ago I stumbled across an original photo of this and I was very pleased. I hope I haven't inadvertently told any porkies about this bonsai during the various comps, but it was dug on 2009 so its not that long out of the ground. The only part that did survive is the part that appears to be sticking out the back in the photo,

So now for the real update. The ramification is progressing along quite nicely, the flowering is just beginning and all I need is the new pot.

Re: [Watto] Rosemary
I really like the pot it's in, Watto!
Perhaps it could be a little shallower but the severity of the pot matches the tree wonderfully.
Cheers, Pat

Thanks for the kind comments.
I thought you might have a good pot tucked away that I might be able to persuade you to part with Pat?

Re: [Watto] Rosemary
Ever since I saw this post, my Rosemary in the garden bed, has been shrinking away whenever I walk nearby. Maybe, it's reading my mind.

Re: [Watto] Rosemary
The little one in the bottom right of the 2009 photo is now also a bonsai. I think they are a maligned species.

Re: [Watto] Rosemary
Here is the update, but it looks like the August photo. It flowered well and I trimmed it after flowering (its a good job as there is a great aroma in the air) and its size hasn't changed much at all. I have noticed that there are a few buds on old wood so that may open up a few new opportunities.

Re: [Watto] Rosemary
I decided after the November photo that the foliage was a little to "large" and needed to be more in tune with the hard windswept look, and so I took some away. But of course it grew back, but I think you can see that the foliage pads are smaller now.

Re: [Watto] Rosemary
Lovely little tree Watto and agree with P.K about the pot, a little shallower perhaps?

Re: [Watto] Rosemary
I am still looking for the "right" pot for this and I hold out hope that I will find it before the comp ends. During Bonsai Week at the NBPCA in March I might be able to discuss the possibility of having one made by one of the visiting potters?
