One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

The finish is a little earlier than I expected.
Thank you to all those that had voted and in particular the people that voted for my entries. It has been a real challenge to improve the trees in a short period of time in a restrictive environment. It has been a good leaning curve for me,so thank you for the opportunity Ausbonsai.
Thank you and congratulations to all the other entries,it was great to see what other Bonsai artist are doing and the different skills used in different parts of Australia and other countries.
Thank you again
Peter

Congrats PeterH and to all the other competitors! I loved watching these trees progress.
So the Redwood turns to the Bonsai and says "Lend me a Tenner"......

Well done to every one concerned.
Agree with limiting the number of entries per person. Not so sure I agree with your reasons Ken, but hey, that's OK with me as well.
Don't think one of the trees I voted for got up, but hey that's OK as well. Just goes to prove we all have different views on things and that also is a good thing.
Waiting to see what the next comp' brings along. Once again, well done all.

It was a great comp and as always I learnt plenty from the trees I kept alive and plenty from the trees I didn't
Thanks to all the participants and mods for all the efforts.
My only request is that next comp should end a bit further into spring or maybe summer. I had a few trees that could have benefited from that timing

Re: [RESULTS] Shohin Progressive Styling Competition 2013-2014
This contest has been awesome, and I've been looking forward to the next starting date, but haven't seen anything. Did I miss it somewhere, or have there just been delays?Steven wrote:We are going to keep the competition going and all (living) original entries from the REFINE and CREATE will be back in the running. Over the next few weeks I'll get all details sorted out and we will launch again. If anyone has ideas for prizes or ways to make the comp better, please let me know. I think this will be a great way for participants and observers to continue to learn
Cheers, Karl

Same here, although I'm not entirely sure I have any trees that would qualify as I have been out pinching and chopping most of them
