There is no need to post a picture of your trees with a newspaper to prove no work has yet been done. We will just trust that everyone has stuck to the timelines. If you have started work early then aphids will infest your trees.Damian79 wrote:Hi
When are we required to repost entries with newspaper date and hight with standard measuring device?

35 entries from an admitted shohin addict with some good years of experience is a bit intimidating! Good luck Mojo, and everybody else. Time to start training some trees!Mojo Moyogi wrote:Done!

Leptospermum laevigatum
From seed about 10 yrs ago and then all last 9 years in a 4 inch pot and roots into the ground. Roots into ground cut off and as it was very lanky the trunk and some branches cut back to encourage back budding. No styling as such yet.
Transplanted into bonsai pot last September. Height currently around 30cm.

If not able to be entered I will keep the thread updated in parallel.
Sorry for the delay but I've been OS for the last couple of weeks and missed your question.
Unfortunately due to the trimming of branches it would not be eligible to enter unless you were to remove the branches.
Great stock and if you are not prepared to chop them off then I do hope you will still share the progression with us. Or, I'd love to work out a deal to get it onto my bench!

Steven

Sounds to me like such discussion is definitely allowed, and even encouraged. Just remember you have to do all the work yourself. If I remember correctly, virtuals were actually even encouraged as long as they are done by the submitting artist.Steven wrote:• Discussion, advice and comments in the entry threads is encouraged, but please "No Virtuals".
