Hi Pat , its all good . I have been called worse . The horse manure was full of purslane seed and to prevent it from sprouting it was buried 12 inches under ground . the seed can stay dormant under ground for up to 40 years
The vegies last year grew very well also . The Shimpaku are in the same grow bed but i dare say the roots have quite hit the sweet stuff yet .
Cheers Ian - Alpineart

I ripped this out of the ground yesterday
Cheers.
and slipped it into a large tray/pot . It will travel to its new destination and eventually be put it back into the ground as a landscape tree but until then I will enjoy its beauty .With the benches getting emptied there's plenty of room .Cheers.

Hi Juan, no real colour , but plenty of new growth still happening . The frost hit it a couple of weeks ago so I decided to save it from further damage .
Cheers Ian

Ripping tree that one. I particularly like the bottom 1/3 of the trunk with the subtle curve and kink before the first branch. Wherever you've sending this tree - the new owner will have a future beauty I reckon.
Tending bonsai teaches me patience.

Hi MJL , its a good start for a Bonsai but at 1m high its a bit too heavy for most , I think it will make for a nice landscape tree .
Cheers . Ian
