Im pretty sure, but I cant find the back issue information.
Its a 2007 edition, but there are only two editions in that year and they dont tell you whats in the issues.

If anyone has a back catalog and know of the article, please gimme a shout.

In bonsai focus #3 2007 they have an article in utilising these pots with a larch group setting, but that only led me to the same pics you posted on making them.
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
